| Girl
of the Week for November 3 is...
Tara
Here is Tara visiting me at Cockrell. I met Tara in the place I always go to meet girls, my old dorm room. Oh wait a minute, I NEVER meet girls there, although on this one particular night, I met both Tara and Sheena at the same time. Crazy man Rob was in town from Austin, and he, Geoff, and I were planning our evening. Geoff decides to invite people over to watch Shrek. These 'people' included those I knew (Camille, Jose, etc) and those I didn't (Sheena, Tara). So I was lucky to meet her that evening. Clarification: I did NOT meet Sheena and Tara at the same time. This has been brought to my attention by Sheena, and probably this whole paragraph is wrong. Here is what I know for sure: a.) I met Tara before Halloween because I knew her when she came trick-or-treating at Club 341. b.) Sheena did come see Shrek in my room. I don't think Tara was there. c.) The Shrek viewing was in November, the campout I spoke of was in October. (thanks to my Visor, I can recall my life). d.) I met Sheena at CRU, probably in Sept. 2001.
Tara is an interior design major. (I think that's right). Well, she takes a lot of art classes, and she has a drafting board in her living room, where she draws things like houses. And last week when we were in the library, she got real excited when we saw books about "The History of Furniture" and the like. I tried to contain my excitement. I also got to see Tara a few times over the summer. In May, she moved into an apartment with Kate, Jen, and Camille. Whenever I came to Fort Worth to look for a place to live, I'd usually call the "Maxi Pad" (name given by John Anderson) and see which of the girls are hanging around. She still lives there, sharing a room with Kate. Her living room looks like pages 42 and 43 of the summer Pottery Barn catalog. When Geoff saw this, he enlisted Tara to decorate our house, but he has yet to come up with the funding.
Tara driving around TCU. This photo has a driver's ed feel to it.
If you see Tara (Lynn Robertson) on campus, congratulate her on being Girl of the Week. If you're looking for a good decorator, I bet she'd help you out, too. |
