of the Week is...
Jessica Gibson!
Derek had quite a plan for Jessica when she came to town. That included planning and advertising a party on BYX Row without our prior permission. We, of course, obliged, and it was plenty fun. Jessica had a blast, and when I was introduced to her, she immediately knew who I was. Apparently I'm a star of Derek's TCU stories.
Also funny, when she met Mike Dietz, she said, "Oh, are you Bear?" No, not Bear, but with Mike's short hair and beard, he kind of looks like his name could be Bear.
Jessica visited Fort Worth once before, but that was way back in October of 2001, when I was in Austin for the Yorkis Summit. She is a really fun girl who Derek is lucky to have. And of course, they fit well together.
On Saturday, Jessica's Fort Worth tour included a trip to the zoo, Krispy Kreme, and my house. She's staying until Monday, so there will be plenty more good times, I predict.

Jessica
is Derek Johanson's girlfriend. Perhaps you know Derek from Gaster Lumber
fame. Derek is from Portland, Oregon, so he is quite a distance from home.
Two whole time zones! Jessica attends George Fox University, in Oregon,
so the couple doesn't get to see each other on a regular basis. Luckily,
for Valentine's Day weekend, Jessica came to Fort Worth!
