Girl of the Week is...

Allisa

Don't be confused. The last girl of the week was ALICIA. This is ALLISA. Allisa is a Horned Frog, a senior majoring in nursing who's from the aromatic city of Baytown, Texas.

Allisa and I first got to know each other real well during our freshman year. She had organized a coed softball team, and was short on boys to play. I love any sort of baseball, so I volunteered to play and became a key member of the team. Allisa played first base on her high school softball team. She's a lefty, so it's a natural position for her. She's also a threat at the plate too.

Allisa is a very good roller skater. I'm not, but I managed to stay balanced long enough to snap a photo of her while skating. I guess hockey jerseys was the fashion of choice for the night. This was taken at the BYX Date Dash in March, by the way. Kyle also wore a jersey, and I think David did, too.

We've had a good run so far. There have been bumps in the road, like the time she jumped on my back for a ride, and I started running toward the cars at Billy Bob's. I was doing fine (she's as light as a feather), until I stepped off the curb into the parking lot. The six-inch drop threw off my center of balance, and I stumbled forward, but didn't recover, and we fell onto the pavement. Allisa was perfectly fine - I broke her fall being the horse and not the rider - but I left with minor scrapes and my favorite jeans torn.

Another time during finals week, I was talking to Allisa online. It was about 2 in the morning, and she and her roommate Camille were hungry. They wanted some of the frozen enchiladas in my fridge, so I put them into a nondescript briefcase and skulked over to Jarvis Hall, where they lived. Boys of course aren't allowed in after hours, but luckily Allisa had a corner room, on the third floor. Convenient? You bet. Jarvis has a never-used fire escape, so I climbed up the stairs and Allisa let me in through the hallway window. A while later, I left. But my secret mission was complete.

Allisa obviously didn't take this Girl of the Week thing seriously. It's a big honor. So, the first time I took a photo of her, she just stuck out her tongue. That, of course, is shown at right.

Allisa and I have become very close friends over the years. We both got to be officers in our respective sorority and fraternity during 2002. We got inducted into Order of Omega together. Currently, Allisa works at a local hospital, learning to be a nurse. She's always wanting to go out and do stuff, but her availability is always suspect.

The same night as the tongue picture, Allisa showed her photog skills and took a picture of me too. Yeah, I know this is Girl of the Week, and not me, but whatever. I do what I want around here.

Allisa is good friends with Katie Boggs aka Boggie. I had a photo of them on the main page for awhile, because they were devoted fans of the Sons of Thunder softball team and even came to see us compete in Frats-at-Bat in the rain and mud.

I'm working on getting some more pictures of Allisa. Stay tuned, the pool that I draw Girls of the Week is quite dry in the summer, so Allisa may be on the site for awhile, as Alicia was. Don't get Allisa and Alicia mixed up.
